With the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee on the horizon here are my suggestions for what to wear to any of the celebrations that will be happening across the UK and further afield.
Street Party:
Stand out from the crowd in a Princess Catherine inspired outfit. The J Brand 811 in Coral are the perfect Summer jean with an amazing fit in a beautiful colour. Team your colourful jeans with a great fitting blazer from Smythe or By Malene Birger; two favourites of the Princess. To complete the look all you need is a neck scarf from Lily and Lionel or Stella McCartney and a basic tee from Splendid or LnA.
Garden Party:
If you have been invited to a garden party then slightly smarter attire may be required. A pair of the Goldsign Unique Flares would be perfect. These are a high waisted kick flare so you’re legs will look elongated and you’ll fool anyone into thinking you’re in tailored trousers. To complete the look tuck a blouse in from either L’Agence or Tucker and accessorise with a belt and heels.
The Concert at Buckingham Palace:
If you have tracked down some tickets to the concert at Buckingham Palace then you will absolutely be able to go a little more casual. Try one of this season’s patterned jeans; Current/Elliott, J Brand, Siwy and Paige have all produced some beautiful prints. Roseanna have some great blazers this season and I particularly like the Safari Jacket in Lurex, which would be perfect for the Palace. Layer with a T Shirt from either J Brand or IRO.
