The pressure is always on to create something totally different and exciting for our Christmas window. Normally we go for colourful and cheeky but this year I wanted something slick and sophisticated with an element of fun.
This month we've teamed up with Chamonix based brand Perfect Moment to launch Ski Wear exclusively in the UK online and in our Chelsea and Belgravia boutiques. To coincide with the launch I created the perfect après ski window, Donna Ida style.
Think luxurious ski suits against a mountainous snow scene which was the perfect backdrop for our party on opening day where everyone was guzzling hot chocolate by day and sipping champagne by night.
The mannequins were dressed in ski wear from Perfect Moment and if you are a regular skier then you will know that very few people wear head-to-toe matching ski suits which is why Perfect Moment is so great. All their separates work together to build a colourful and individual outfit so chances are you will not ski into someone else wearing the exact same ski suit. I finished off the look with Perfect Moment skis, chic sunglasses and cool goggles.
To carry the ski scene into stores I sourced an old fashioned beer barrel from a local brewery. Almost every après ski bar in the Alps uses beer barrels as tables; so for the launch party we served Kokoa Collection hot chocolate, Honestly Healthy brownies and once the sun went down the incredibly indulgent Luxor Champagne.
