Beauty editor, TV presenter and digital creator Nadine Baggott is renowned for her straight talking attitude to beauty. Here we get a glimpse into her lockdown life with her favourite Donna Ida jumpsuit, best beauty buys, cute cats and killer heels.
Tell us your biggest lockdown achievement
I have not had an alcoholic drink since a week before lockdown. I say choose your vices and for me it is chocolate – so I binged on chocolate until Easter and amazed I can still squeeze into my Donna Ida jumpsuit. That and the fact that I have carried on working pretty much as normal (as a journalist I work from home creating YouTube and Instagram videos and digital beauty content).
If you could be locked down with anyone – not including your friends and family who would it be and why
Have you seen White Lines on Netflix? I would choose to be locked down with Boxer from that (the actor Nuno Lopes); I mean he can cook, is great looking, can protect me when the queues for Sainsbury’s and Waitrose get too long, and he paints. (It has nothing to do with the steamy sex scenes I promise).
Show us your favourite ‘moment’ in your home. What do you look at every day that makes you happy, it can be a thing, a person, or just a corner of your home.
My cats Yogi and BooBoo make me happy in the most simple way. I cannot imagine being lockdown without animals. Whatever happens in your life, no matter what stresses, they put everything back into perspective with their 'feed me, love me, look after me attitude.’
We all buy beautiful clothes, handbags and accessories that we love but never seem to use. Let’s see your top 3 – styled if you can!
I love black designer bags; just before lockdown I bought a Dior and have hardly used it. I love flimsy sexy tops over jeans, and I love my vintage gold Rolex and diamonds. I have not worn high heels or jewellery or carried a handbag since lockdown and I miss them.
Can we see your daily denim – what jeans are you wearing all the time right now.
I am living in my Donna Ida Cassandra because it has stretch and my flared Minnie jeans, I also have a pair of cut off fifties styled Current Elliott cropped jeans that have zero stretch and I keep as my clothing weighing scales.

If you could design a Donna Ida jean/jumpsuit or ready to wear item what would it be called? We usually name the denim after girls that Ida would like to hang out with, and the name the ready to wear pieces after the way they make you feel.
The Nadine; she would be the blackest black jumpsuit, long in the body and leg with a shorter sleeve and deep plunge. Not tight, more utility work wear Rosie The Riveter style.
What is the first thing you’ll do when you get out?
Check my phone, is that wrong? It is isn’t it. I charge it by my bed and plug into the world when I wake up. But I do it slowly and spend half an hour scrolling and collecting my thoughts, checking emails and my diary before starting my day.
We’ll all get back to the airport at some point, when you do, what is the destination that will be on your boarding pass?
I would choose to fly to Verona to go to Portofino if I could go anywhere. I’d stay at The Splendido and eat at O Magazin every night. Further afield and my heart belongs to The Maldives; I love Reethi Rah.
If you were on a desert island with just 5 beauty products what would they be?
Skinceuticals Metacell Skin Renewal moisture serum, hair dye as I can never go grey, ever, so L’Oreal Excellence shade 8N, It Cosmetics CC Cream SPF50, Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara and Mac Costa Riche Kohl Liner.
What is your most luxurious, but also most affordable beauty product? That one that makes you feel spoiled but everyone can enjoy.
Oh great question, I love Boots Your Good Skin Nourishing Hot Cloth Cleanser; never underestimate a great budget cleanser.
Before we go, can you share a photo of your lockdown companion/s if you are lucky enough to have some!
David is my partner, he is a global economist and the poor man has been working from the dining table since lockdown.
