It's that time of year again - even though we're only just hitting those colder Winter months, in fashion we're closing the buying books and already looking forward to SS14. Here's a few of our favourite trends, that should be top of your shopping list for SS14...
90s Americana
From 90s movie Clueless: Dionne (Stacey Dash) and Cher (Alicia Silverstone)
If you think 90s high school Americana and you think Clueless’s Alicia Silverstone and a little of Carven's collection for AW13. Gingham, pastels, chintz, houndstooth, stripes and twinsets were all seen on the catwalk by the likes of Balmain, making for a chic yet playful season.

Carven
We’ve seen this gingham check through to Henry’s House of Holland collection, arriving at Donna Ida early next year. Wear with his lace pencil to complete the sweet look.
Perforation
Isabel Marant, Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton all showed signs of an obsession with perforation this season. Beauty lies in the detail with this trend, be it pierced, hole-punched or laser cut – this futuristic style statement is huge for SS14.
Elizabeth and James touched on the trend in a fashionable, yet wearable way. The collection was striking with a strong monochrome aesthetic.

Space Age Sports
Dropped or raglan, oversized silhouettes were seen at shows such as Balenciaga and Balmain, both representing the space age feel, incorporating the sports luxe trend which is far from over.
Whatever you do, don’t throw out your bomber just yet; it’s going to be bigger than ever. Featured in Fashion Week at London, Paris, New York and Milan, this jacket remains the only outerwear you will need. Oversized cricket jumpers and polo shirts are an easy way to add a touch of sports luxe into any outfit - just wear with your favourite jeans.
Band of Outsiders featured a cute 70s style cricket jumper due to be in Donna Ida boutiques in February 2014.
IRO showcased a modernistic collection with leather detailing and piping to finish off the cool, sports luxe look.
A new brand to Donna Ida for SS14 is R13 – ridiculously cool, it shows all the signs of the sports trend with this simple black jumpsuit.
