Ginnie Chadwyck Healey Style Insider

Ginnie Chadwyck-Healey is a fashion consultant and Telegraph columnist who previously worked at British Vogue for 12 years. Her passion for both the commercial and the creative is what led her to start VCHStyle.com, a platform for her new foray into brand consultancy, which also includes presenting and personal styling. Here we catch up with Ginnie on lockdown life, her love for Normal People and the new addition to her family.

Tell us your biggest lockdown achievement

I have survived lockdown with a newborn baby! I am shattered. I miss our lovely nanny. I miss my parents. I miss my friends. But we are happy and safe and healthy.

If you could be locked down with anyone – not including your friends and family who would it be and why:

Oh the mind boggles..... Connell from Normal People?! I've learnt he is in lockdown, in East London, on his own - HOW can that be????

Show us your favourite ‘moment’ in your home.  What do you look at every day that makes you happy, it can be a thing, a person, or just a corner of your home.

It would have to be my coffee maker...... 11am coffee and cake has become a ritual for all 5 of us. It's a moment of us all coming together, no conference calls, me breastfeeding, my girls bowled over by a chocolate biscuit. You realise it's the simple things that bring greatest pleasure right now.

Can we see your daily denim – what jeans are you wearing all the time right now.

I just bought these as I'm slowly shifting my baby weight - Mango

If you could design a Donna Ida jean/jumpsuit or ready to wear item what would it be called?  We usually name the denim after girls that Ida would like to hang out with, and the name the ready to wear pieces after the way they make you feel.

It would be a culotte jean in a super soft denim to achieve a bit of movement during the Spring Summer months. Boyish yet flattering and of course revealing the ankle  (I love a wrist or ankle on show). The Ginnie - surely a winner Donna!?

What is the first thing you’ll do when you get out?

Go visit my parents and hug them and drink wine with them. And let them have a squidge of my new little boy, Walter.

We’ll all get back to the airport at some point, when you do, what is the destination that will be on your boarding pass?

Italy - the people, the food, the culture, the weather - they have suffered so badly from all of this and yet they offer such spirit and joy in all that they do. They will welcome visitors in a way we have never seen. Bring it on.
