Here Comes Summer: How to Wear Cropped Jeans

Once the sun is shining I like my hemline to rise slightly. I don’t mind if I roll my jeans up or just opt for a cropped jean, either way that is what I’ll be wearing for the next eight months. I have three favourites at the moment that I have on constant rotation.

Roll it
I love boyfriend styles and the High Boy Jean in Ravage from Nobody is my perfect pair. The colour is a beautiful soft blue, which will be amazing for summer, and they are a great length for rolling. When I wear boyfriend style jeans I always team them with something smarter or more feminine, the Jolie Blouse from Joie is a staple for me worn with a blazer from By Malene Birger or Elizabeth and James to complete the look.

Shape it
I have always been a big fan of James Jeans; I think the quality of their fabric is amazing as it holds its shape, size and colour incredibly well. I was so excited to try the new Penelope style. It is a high-rise slim leg crop with plenty of stretch, which all makes for a very comfortable wear. The scallop detailing on the leg is very subtle whilst giving them a slightly sexier and more feminine edge. As they are such a classic style you can wear them with anything, but a simple Equipment blouse or a knit from Markus Lupfer would work perfectly.

Zip it
The J Brand Scout is my other fail-safe crop of the moment. I wear a lot of navy as I find it is softer on my complexion than black - plus it works really well with all other colours. The side zip is a great feature as you can keep it open which is more flattering on the leg and calf area for all women. The Scout is a style that will work just as well on the beach with a kaftan as it will with a basic shirt or tee and a blazer or knit.
