Hurrah! It's here, IRO's Pre-SS14 denim collection. I've been waiting for this for six months and I'm even more excited now than when I first saw it. I actually want to wear this collection top to toe - matching. That's right, the same print top to bottom I love it that much.
The most flattering on me and my firm favourite is the Abril mid-rise skinny in Black Print. The great thing about IRO's denim collection is the fit is basically all the same - they're the perfect mid-rise skinny jean. It's largely what we all want and fits most body shapes. Plus if your style embodies the IRO girl who loves that relaxed nonchalant Parisian look, then this fit is for you. So to kick off my IRO denim collection it will be the Abril for me, and I may even throw in the tee too.
For a fresher look go for the Aden Skinny in Blue Print. I was looking at this in our Belgravia boutique on Saturday and decided in my head I would wear it with the 360 Gia cashmere in Laser Lemon. Can't you just see me in it?
Since I love the Blue Print from the collection so much but worry wearing this particular one top to toe may be a little too jammies for me I'm going to throw the IRO Bertina Tee in Blue Print on with the IRO Jarod Skinnies in Cardinal Red. How can you go wrong?
Every spring we have a swathe of customers who want white jeans but can't cope with bright white. Personally I love my whites to be tennis court ready, but I can see the appeal of an off white. IRO's super pale lemon has hit the perfect note with their soft shade that just hints at yellow.
It's that subtle nod to white while keeping it very relaxed and downtown. I'll wear mine with the Simeon Farrar for IDA Never Knowingly Underdressed sweatshirt which will transition nicely into spring.
