Juice Diet

I've had so much twitter interest in my juice diet that I thought I should post a blog on it.  My friend Lovisa bought Jason Vale's 7 Pounds in 7 Days juice diet book about 18 months ago, and rather than read it myself I asked her to give me a quick summary.  She sent me a list of recipes and I picked out two I thought looked good and that's now the basis for my juice diet.  I do it every couple of months from Monday to Friday and always lose 5-7 pounds.  I still drink coffee - an espresso first thing and then a black Americano or two up until lunchtime - and at least 1.5 litres of water.  The juice diet is exhausting without the coffee, and I'm always going to go straight back to coffee once I'm off it anyway so I just carry on!

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Juice:
Cucumber
Apple
Carrot
Ginger
Lemon
Spinach
Celery
Lettuce

Mid Morning and Mid Afternoon Juice:
Cucumber
Pineapple
Avocado
Lime

There were quantities involved when Lovisa first gave me the recipes but they've fallen by the wayside now and I just give the list of ingredients to my juice man Ian.  It always tastes vaguely the same so he must know the drill.  Ian and his brother own D McKay Fruiterers, 19A Harrington Road, South Kensington, SW7 3ES phone 0207 584 1929 - the best place I've ever found for bespoke juices!
