Our Team Donna Ida run for Children’s charity Jeans for Genes is looming. Whilst we've been pulling muscles, sweating (or 'glistening') and gaining faces the colour of beetroot - This fantastic charity has been working hard. They have just announced a star line up of celebrities including Christine Bleakley, Stacey Solomon, Amber Le Bon and PARADE to help create awareness for their annual fundraising event Jeans for Genes Day on Friday 7th October.
Now in its 16th year, the charity has raised an incredible £36 million and is once again asking people to make a donation to wear their jeans to work or school to raise money for children and families affected by genetic disorders. They aim to raise £2.6 million from the Day!
To mark the Day, the charity has launched a limited edition t-shirt (Now in at Donna Ida) produced in conjunction with London College of Fashion. The unique design was created by Lianne Miller from London, as modelled below by Amber Le Bon.
“I am really excited to be supporting Jeans for Genes again this year and I love this years winning t-shirt design!” - Amber Le Bon
Genetic disorders affect 1 in 25 children born in the UK – that’s more than 30,000 babies born each year. You could really help by donating what you can to our Just Giving page and if you want to do more - there is plenty of space on Team Donna Ida for you to run with us - and remember, we have fabulous prizes to our top fundraisers - you know you want to!
