It's so exciting when a change of colour palette hits the fashion radar. Khaki and beige has been hot for a season or two now and looks set to stay as a classic. I love all theses hues mixed together. When I was modelling for YSL in Paris he would famously often include a Safari section, this was always one of my favorites, slightly sexy tough tomboy with a feminine army feel.
The new Hudson cargo crop in wheat is perfect for this trend, as are the J Brand Gigi in Khaki. Team these with a putty colour t-shirt from Kain or Fresh Laundry, a Stella McCartney denim shirt, or a beige jacket and you have the look! Both styles work great with an ankle/shoe boot or a flat sandal as they are cropped above the ankle (all the rage at the moment) and SO flattering! I think I will make this my summer travelling outfit.
The big denim trend for this Spring/Summer is a new wave of denim in very soft stretchy cotton which makes them super lightweight and comfortable to wear. I've teamed them with a safari jacket from my friend Serdar Uzutas collection, my Celine bag and glasses and a little cotton Trilby as the sun is actually shining today.... Yippee!
